A ministry-level inquiry is to be conducted into the inclusion of political-related questions in the second term examination paper of a school in Kalutara, the Ministry of Education announced.
Issuing a statement, the Education Ministry said that the Secretary to the Ministry Thilaka Jayasundara has issued a directive to the relevant authorities in this regard.
Accordingly, an inquiry is to be conducted into the inclusion of political-related questions in the second term general knowledge exam paper of advanced-level students of C.W.W. Kannangara Central College in the Kalutara District.
The Education Ministry Secretary has pointed out that the question paper had been set by school authorities and was in no way linked at the ministry or any other institutional level.
She further said that proper measures will be taken in this regard after a formal investigation is conducted at the ministry level.
