EDEX Expo 2025, Sri Lanka’s largest education exhibition and job fair, is set to take place on January 17, 18, and 19 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo, from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will also be held at the Kandy City Centre (KCC) on January 25 and 26.
A media briefing and panel discussion were held on January 15 at the Royal College Auditorium to announce the event. The expo offers a unique platform for students, graduates, and job seekers to explore educational and career opportunities. Attendees can engage with a diverse range of exhibitors, including local and international universities, vocational training institutes, and industry professionals. This provides a chance to gain insights into various academic programs, scholarships, and emerging career paths. Several esteemed institutions have partnered with EDEX Expo 2025 as sponsors, enhancing the event’s prominence.
NSBM Green University, recognized for its academic excellence and state-of-the-art facilities, joins as a Platinum Sponsor. Curtin University Colombo, an official global campus of Curtin University, Australia, is participating as a Gold Sponsor. Their involvement underscores the expo’s commitment to providing access to world-class education.
The media briefing highlighted the expo’s role in empowering Sri Lankan youth by connecting them with educational resources and employment opportunities. Organizers emphasized the importance of such events in guiding students and professionals towards fulfilling careers, contributing to the nation’s development.
EDEX Expo 2025 is expected to attract a large number of visitors, including students awaiting Advanced Level results, parents, educators, and industry representatives. The event will feature seminars, workshops, and interactive sessions designed to provide valuable information and guidance on educational and career planning.
In addition to the main exhibition, EDEX has year-round initiatives such as EDEX Sithuwam, an innovative art competition incorporating AI tools, and EDEX Nenapahana, which supports rural schools. These programs reflect EDEX’s ongoing commitment to youth empowerment beyond the expo.
