The Ministry of Education has announced that classes for new Grade One school students will commence on Thursday, 30 January 2025.
Issuing a statement, the Education Ministry said this applies to Grade One students admitted to Government and Government-approved private schools for the year 2025.
As such, new Grade One students of all Sinhala, Tamil, and Muslim Government schools will commence classes on 30 January.
