Make the best of your time with the SLTC Foundation pathway. Start your higher education as soon as you get your O/L results! The SLTC Foundation Pathway has been designed to prepare students who wish to pursue tertiary education in engineering and technology disciplines for a successful undergraduate career, after successfully completing their ordinary-level examinations. The SLTC foundation aims to provide its students with the necessary skills, the competencies and the knowledge required for undergraduate studies and ensure that the students are empowered with the linguistic skills and social attributes that will help them gain the best of their university education.

First Trimester

• English Language Skills
• Pre-Calculus
• Introductory Chemistry
• Mathematics for Engineering and ICT
• General and Thermal Physics
• Introduction to Engineering Materials (Elecvtive)

Second Trimester

• Introduction to Academic Composition and Communication
• Introductory Calculus
• Information and Communication Technology
• Statistics
• Physical and Inorganic Chemistry
• Optics and Modern Physics

Third Trimester

• Algebra and Trigonometry
• Organic Chemistry
• Wave and Electromagnetism

Admission Requirements

A minimum of six passes for the GCE O/L examination including a minimum of ‘C’ pass for each of Mathematics, General English, and Science

or

A minimum of 5 passes for Cambridge or Edexcel including a C pass for Human Biology/Biology, Chemistry and Physics/Mathematics Edexcel and Cambridge O/L Examinations
